2-week Boot camp - $2,500

Our 2-week Boot Camp is for the owner who is looking to have the best-behaved dog in the shortest period of time. During the 2-week program, your dog lives with your trainer at their house and becomes part of the family. Throughout the 2 weeks, your dog will be acquainted with the e-collar and will learn all of the basic commands with heavy distractions in public places. If you are tired of your dog taking you for a walk, this is the program for you. You will be able to go anywhere after these 2 weeks with your dog while having increased structure, control, and communication. At the end of the Boot Camp, we will meet up for a couple hours so we can teach you how to work with your dog! We will teach you how to give the commands, the proper timing, and how to handle everyday situations.

The most important part – your dog’s personality will not change. This is one of the most common questions we get. You will get the same silly, quirky, loving dog back that you’re used to, but now with a new found level of obedience. You’ll walk away with a better understanding of your dog and a better, healthier relationship.

*Please note – this 2 week program will not address behavioral modification needs, such as severe reactivity and aggression*

*This training program is for dogs that are at least 6 months of age*

3-WEEK BOOT CAMP - $3,500

This program is functionally similar to the 2-week boot camp, but is for dogs who experience anxiety, reactivity, or other behavioral issues. While there’s a lot we can do in two weeks, we find it’s better to take our time with dogs that need it. If your dog has a lot of reactivity, is fearful, or struggles with similar behavioral issues, this longer program allows us to put new, more positive behaviors into place and spend more time building them up before sending your dog home. Your dog will learn heel, sit, down, stay, recall, and place, all with and without the e-collar, but they’ll also learn how to be a happier, more confident version of themselves! At the end of the three weeks, we will have a lesson with you to help you better understand where your dog is coming from and how to work with them in the same way we have, including timing of praise and corrections, how to redirect them, and more!

*This training program is for dogs that are at least 6 months of age*

Private Lessons

Private lessons are great for the owner who likes being more involved in the training and can dedicate some time each day to do the homework. *This training program is for dogs that are at least 6 months of age and over 15 lbs*

4-lesson program - $600

The 4-lesson program includes your e-collar training device and covers 4 private lessons. During these lessons, we will go over the basics you and your dog need to know to have top-notch obedience, as well as help you better understand their mindset so you can communicate effectively. These lessons will work on your dog’s Recall, Sit, Place, Down, Heel, and can dive further into any other problems you may have such as jumping or excessive barking. This program is for dogs who are already confident but just need a bit of guidance and structure. Have a more nervous or reactive pup? Check out our 6-lesson program!

You will need to dedicate at least 20-30 minutes a day towards training in between the lessons in order to stay on track with the training. This is the absolutely minimum in order to get the results you’re looking for!

6-LESSON PROGRAM - $800

The 6-lesson program includes the options of 6 private lessons with or without an e-collar. In this program, we will go over the basics you and your dog need to know to have better obedience and a better relationship. These lessons will work on your dog’s Recall, Sit, Place, Down, Heel, and are intended for dogs with reactivity or behavioral issues who may need a bit more time to cover the training, or people who want to build more reliable training. If you’re looking to do a Canine Good Citizen test after a training program, this is what we recommend in order to get reliable obedience off the e-collar.

You will need to dedicate at least 20-30 minutes a day towards training in between the lessons in order to stay on track with the training. This is the absolutely minimum in order to get the results you’re looking for!

Puppy training

Bringing a new puppy into the family is an extremely exciting time. Everybody is filled with joy and overloaded with cuteness. These first few months in the home, however, are the most important months of their lives. This critical time will determine their engagement, responsiveness, energy levels, and so much more. At Delaware K9 Academy, we want to be there every step of the way to ensure you and your puppy are set up for success.

During our training sessions together, we will cover many different topics including proper socialization, environmental exposure, basic obedience, and so much more. Through this training, we will make sure that your puppy grows up and develops into the ideal dog for your family. *This training program is best suited for puppies between the age of 2-4 months old*

1-hour informative session - $125

This session is a sort of micro-program to set you and your new puppy up for success. Over the course of an hour, we will cover the beginnings of basic obedience, how to properly socialize your pup, crate training and potty training, how to nip nuisance behaviors in the bud, and anything you might specifically be encountering. This is a great option for people with dog-owning experience who just want to brush up on their puppy-raising skills.

6-LESSON Puppy PROGRAM - $800

This program provides great hands-on help during your dog’s most formative period. It’s vital to the success of your older dog to make sure you start off on the right foot, so we spend 6 weeks doing just that! In this program, we will cover sit, down, stay, place, and loose-leash walking, as well as crate and potty training, proper socialization, and building engagement and a good relationship. All of these things create the foundation to have a well-adapted, stable dog who succeeds at the more complex obedience we cover in the adult program.

You will need to dedicate at least 20-30 minutes a day towards training in between the lessons in order to stay on track with the training. This is the absolutely minimum in order to get the results you’re looking for!
