Dog Training

2-Week Program

Boot camp - $2,500

Boot Camp is for the owner who is looking to have the best behaved dog in the shortest period of time. During the 2-week program, your dog lives with your trainer at their house and becomes part of the family. Throughout the 2 weeks, your dog will be acquainted with the e-collar and will learn all of the basic commands with heavy distractions in public places. If you are tired of your dog taking you for a walk, this is the program for you. You will be able to go anywhere after these 2 weeks with your dog while having increased structure, control, and communication. At the end of the Boot Camp, we will meet up for a couple hours so we can teach you how to be a dog trainer! We will teach you how to give the commands, the proper timing, and how to handle any situation.

The most important part – your dog’s personality will not change. This is one of the most common questions we get. You will get the same silly, quirky, loving dog back that you’re used to, but now with a new found level of obedience. The relationship between you and your dog is no longer stressful – guaranteed.

*Please note – this 2 week program will not address behavioral modification needs, such as severe reactivity and aggression*

*This training program is for dogs that are at least 5-6 months of age and over 15 lbs*

Private Lessons

Private lessons are great for the owner who likes being more involved in the training and can dedicate some time each day to do the homework. *This training program is for dogs that are at least 5-6 months of age and over 15 lbs*

The Standard - $600

The Standard lesson program includes your e-collar training device and covers 4 private lessons. During these lessons, we will go over the basics you and your dog need to know to have top-notch obedience. These lessons will work on your dog’s Recall, Sit, Place, Down, Heel, and can dive further into any other problems you may have such as jumping or excessive barking.

You will need to dedicate at least 20-30 minutes a day towards training in between the lessons in order to stay on track with the training. This is the absolutely minimum in order to get the results you’re looking for!

Puppy training

Bringing a new puppy into the family is an extremely exciting time. Everybody is filled with joy and overloaded with cuteness. These first few months in the home, however, are the most important months of their lives. This critical time will determine their engagement, responsiveness, energy levels, and so much more. At Delaware K9 Academy, we want to be there every step of the way to ensure you and your puppy are set up for success.

During our training sessions together, we will cover many different topics including proper socialization, environmental exposure, basic obedience, and so much more. Through this training, we will make sure that your puppy grows up and develops into the ideal dog for your family. *This training program is best suited for puppies between the age of 2-4 months old*
